A year of climate change events

We have had our fair share of climate change effects in New Zealand this year to say the least. Following a record wet La Nina period, Auckland flooding  and with cyclone (Gabrielle) striking the central part of the north island, New Zealand experienced the wettest year on record with over 350mm rain recorded over just a few months. Some of our team members were displaced from their homes and are still waiting to see if they’ll be able to return to their homes.

This is just one out of the many events the planet has experienced this year and it highlights the importance of contributing to reducing the impacts from fossil fuels. At FlowPaper, we do this by contributing 2% of our gross revenue to carbon removal through the Stripe Climate partnership program. It has now been a year since we joined this program.

We believe that just as we got ourselves into this problem, we can get ourselves out of it. A heartfelt thank you to all of our customers who helped in carbon removal in 2023. Lets make 2024 record year in carbon removal!
